expat.fyi explains German official letters in plain English: what the letter is, whether it is urgent, the deadline, and exactly what to do next. It is built for people living in Germany who don't read official German, from the Finanzamt and Krankenkasse to the Ausländerbehörde, Jobcenter and Inkasso agencies.
👤 Who runs it
expat.fyi is run by Kamalakkannan Perumal under the business name Digiflowhub, based in Schulzendorf, Brandenburg, Germany. Digiflowhub also runs RechnungsJet, an English invoice generator for freelancers in Germany. The full legal details are in the Impressum.
💶 What it costs
- €2.99 per letter, up to 3 pages.
- Letter Pack: €9.99 for 5 letters (€2.00 each).
- No subscription, no account. You see a preview before you pay, and if we can't help, you don't pay.
- Free: the Letter Check on the homepage and the glossary of 50+ terms.
🔒 How your letter is handled
Your letter itself is not stored. The generated explanation is kept for 24 hours so you can see it after payment, then deleted automatically. Letters are never used to train AI. Payments go through Lemon Squeezy, so we never see your card details. Details are in the privacy policy.
